Zabaykalsk Unveils 'Great Tea Road' Tourism Cluster to Boost International Visitors
Zabaykalsk, a region in Russia's Far East, is set to boost its tourism industry with a new cross-border cluster concept. The Moscow-based firm 'ART-Konsult' has developed the initial design, focusing on integrating cultural heritage sites into the 'Great Tea Road' route.
The project, spearheaded by Julia Zhiryakova, head of the economic policy committee, aims to attract international tourists. ART-Konsult's analysis revealed the preferences and spending habits of Chinese tourists, a key target market. The firm has proposed a package of ten routes that will showcase Zabaykalsk's natural, historical, and cultural attractions.
