Wiesbaden & Mainz Celebrate International Day of the Girl with Empowering Events
The United Nations introduced the International Day of the Girl in 2012 to address global issues impacting girls, such as inequality, hardship, and violence. Wiesbaden and Mainz are marking this day with numerous events near me for girls and young women.
Wiesbaden's action day commences at 3 PM on October 2 at Dern's field, followed by a march through the city center. The march concludes at the Kulturpalast in Saalgasse 36, where workshops begin at 5 PM. These include a dance workshop, Wendo self-defense course, glitter tattoos, a photo booth, and non-alcoholic cocktail mixing. Additionally, the day offers international youth encounters in Poland, Croatia, and Greece. A party for girls rounds off the day from 7 PM.
Mainz's celebration takes place on October 10, with details to be announced later. Girls interested in future events near me or projects can find information at local centers or contact the girls' working group directly. More details about Wiesbaden's event can be found online at www.our website.de/leben-in-our website/gesellschaft-soziales/jugend/weltmaedchentag-2025.
The International Day of the Girl aims to empower girls and promote equal opportunities and protection from violence. Both Wiesbaden and Mainz are hosting events near me to celebrate and support girls and young women in their communities.
