Software Republic Launches EIG to Boost Activities, Plans 50 Startups by 2025
The Software Republic has formed an Economic Interest Group (EIG), or 'groupme', to boost its activities and guide project incubation. Launched in March 2022, the incubator has already supported five startups and plans to launch ten new offerings by 2025.
The incubator, which opened its doors in March 2022, initially supported five startups: Angoka, Geoflex, Parcoor, Vianova, and Wattpark. Meanwhile, the Software Republic Academy will commence two training programs in September 2022, in collaboration with Ecole 2600 and EFREI.
Several projects have already come to fruition. These include a 'detect & respond' cybersecurity solution for Renault vehicles, a collaboration between Orange, Renault Group, Thales, and Parcoor, supported by BPIfrance. Another notable project is a traffic flow modeling tool for territories, a joint effort between Dassault Systèmes, Orange, and Renault Group, currently being piloted in the department of Correze. Additionally, an intelligent and secure bidirectional charging station project is underway, involving Orange, Renault Group, STMicroelectronics, Thales, and Mobilize, with CEA-Leti and EVE Systems joining as partners. The Software Republic Academy, focusing on cybersecurity training, is also among the materialized projects.
By 2025, the Software Republic aims to launch ten new service and product offerings, incubate at least 50 startups, and provide services to more than 50 territories. The EIG's formation and the successful realization of these projects indicate a promising future for the Software Republic's growth and impact.
