Prepared Cybertrucks for an Apocalypse, Engineered by UP.FIT and Archimedes
In a groundbreaking collaboration, Archimedes Defense, Unplugged Performance, and UP.FIT have unveiled the STING packages for the Tesla Cybertruck. Designed for both government and civilian use, these apocalypse-ready, go-anywhere vehicles are equipped with up-armored and genset-equipped Cybertrucks, offering unparalleled off-road capabilities and protection.
The STING packages come in three variants: Baja, Protector, and APC (Armored Personnel Carrier).
The STING Baja is engineered for off-road performance, featuring reinforced suspension, off-road tires, and protective body elements suitable for desert or rough terrain driving. The STING Protector, on the other hand, is a security-focused package that includes armored plating, ballistic glass, and other defensive modifications. The STING APC is an extreme variant, transforming the Cybertruck into an armored transport vehicle with heavy-duty protection, additional seating, and tactical equipment.
The STING Protector package includes the UP INVINCIBLE off-road package and adds bolt-on, bolt-off external offset steel armor plating capable of withstanding 7.62mm assault rifle rounds from key azimuths. The STING APC takes STING armoring to the next level, with added IED/mine protection and upgraded bolt-on, bolt-off external offset steel and ceramic armor plating. This extreme variant is built to shield occupants from 14.5mm heavy machine gun rounds from key azimuths.
The STING Baja package is capable of supercharging the Cybertruck at up to 125kW and rescue-charging other vehicles via an included NACS charging cable. It also incorporates Starlink connectivity and includes a compact, lightweight frunk-mounted AMP Drive G125 aviation-derived 800V genset.
The STING Protector package is available with and without a genset. The efficient and multi-fuel capable AMP Drive G125 genset, running on Jet A, JP-8, Diesel, and Biodiesel, can be added as an option.
For private individuals, corporations, and government customers in moderate threat environments, the STING Protector package is designed to provide protection for vehicle occupants. The STING APC, meanwhile, is intended for the most demanding tactical customers in high threat environments and includes an optional genset for long endurance missions.
Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that STING, in collaboration with Archimedes, pushes the limits further, creating military Cybertrucks with enhanced protection and unmatched capabilities.
Cybertrucks outfitted for police use can be purchased from UP.FIT, and Unplugged Performance's INVINCIBLE parts are available for standalone order. The STING off-grid and protection packages are now available for preorder via Archimedes.
