Nursing home inaugurated by DOMICIL Group in Saarbrücken
DOMICIL Group Opens New Senior Care Home in Saarbrücken
The DOMICIL Group, a leading provider of senior care in Germany, has expanded its portfolio with the opening of a new senior care home in Saarbrücken. Named DOMICIL St. Thomas Morus, the facility is now open and accepting residents.
Located in the St. Arnual district, the new senior care home spans approximately 9,095 m2 and accommodates 137 residents. The building, with a white rendered facade and tile-covered mansard roof, was constructed on the former church grounds of the Catholic parish of Christ König.
The new senior care home offers a range of amenities designed to provide a comfortable and safe living environment for the elderly. Special attention was given to the needs of the residents throughout the planning and construction process to create a self-determined living environment. The facility includes a private garden for dementia patients, a cafeteria open to the neighborhood, and excellent transport links.
The DOMICIL Group has been providing senior care for over 20 years and now operates 46 senior care homes across Germany. The project was funded by HBB Hanseatische Gesellschaft für Seniorenimmobilien II mbH & Co. KG from Hamburg and was handed over to the DOMICIL Group in mid-July.
The official opening ceremony for the senior care home is scheduled for September 30, 2023. The DOMICIL Group is currently seeking qualified nursing staff and employees for household tasks, and applications are already welcome. The senior care home is open to all Saarbrücken residents.
The DOMICIL Group employs over 5,000 people and focuses on the latest findings and current nursing science standards. As part of their ongoing investment in senior care in the Saarland region, the Group is planning a capital increase of at least €20 million in 2025 to support its expansion. This capital increase is expected to further strengthen their capabilities and presence in senior care and related real estate sectors.
