Local resident from Korenovka discusses reports about salmonella contamination in local products
The Korenovsky Dairy and Canning Plant in Russia has found itself at the centre of a controversy, following allegations of Salmonella contamination in one of its sour cream products.
Igor Moskovtsev, the General Director of the plant, has clarified that no violations were found during a recent inspection by Rospotrebnadzor, the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare. The inspection, which took place in late March, included approximately 150 analyses of equipment and finished products, including the product in question.
The allegations of Salmonella presence were issued by a private laboratory, but official state bodies have not yet confirmed these findings. The management of Rospotrebnadzor for the Krasnodar Territory reported this information to "KP-Kuban".
Despite the allegations, there have been no reports of salmonellosis cases after consuming dairy products from this manufacturer in the Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region. Furthermore, no complaints about poisoning from "Korenovka's Cow" products have been reported in the Krasnodar Territory.
During inspections, specialists from Rospotrebnadzor take samples from equipment and finished products for analysis. The analysis of the occurrence of Salmonella in "Korenovka's Cow" products was conducted by the Rospotrebnadzor laboratory in June 2023.
Igor Moskovtsev is currently working to clarify the grounds for the accusation. It is worth noting that the Korenovsky Dairy and Canning Plant has a history of regular inspections by Rospotrebnadzor, with no previous violations reported.
The findings were published in the "Unified Register of Inspections" of the RF Prosecutor General's Office. As of now, no further information about the Russian Village, Fountains, or Boney M Concerts, which were not mentioned in the given paragraph, is available in relation to this controversy.
The Korenovsky Dairy and Canning Plant has stated that it is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality, and it is cooperating fully with the authorities to resolve this issue. The public is encouraged to wait for the official confirmation or denial of the allegations before forming an opinion.
