Gear up, music enthusiasts! The EverJazz International Jazz Festival is set to light up the Ivolga recreation center near Sysert this coming weekend. With a stellar lineup and a diverse range of performers from various Russian cities, as well as from Armenia, Cuba, Spain, and the Emirates, expect a weekend of non-stop grooving.
Over a hundred artists will grace two stages, one of which will be entirely dedicated to funk. This year's massive open-air event promises 8 hours of top-notch music, masterclasses, lectures, and a children's relaxation zone for young music lovers.
Deputy Minister of Culture of the Sverdlovsk region, Larisa Vakary, has commended the event, stating, "EverJazz is a significant event on our region's festival map... We're delighted to invite everyone to this event."
The Central Park stage will feature some noteworthy acts. Leading Latin jazz musicians, Global Jazz Quartet, who've previously won a Grammy, will perform, with their masterclass geared towards local music school students. Alejandro Dolgado & Ozzie Blunt from Cuba, founders of the group JoinTrip, will also take the stage, bringing their unique blend of classic American blues, modern hip-hop beats, and traditional Cuban motifs.
The second stage will be a funk paradise, as efforts are made to support budding funk bands in the region. As Irina Shchetnikova, general director of the jazz club and the EverJazz festival, notes, this will make the event more vibrant, youthful, and an unforgettable mini-vacation amidst the beautiful Ural nature.
The "Ivolga" base, 30 km from Yekaterinburg, can be easily reached by car, or a bus provided by the organizers, which departs from the Church on Blood at 13:30 on June 21st.
