High-rise Residential Complex

Shard Place, a new residential tower in London Bridge, is set to become a significant addition to the vibrant area. Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop in collaboration with Adamson Associates, the tower is the final piece in the transformation of London Bridge, following 'The Shard' and 'The News Building'.

Located adjacent to The Shard and London Bridge station, Shard Place offers excellent transport connections and proximity to Borough Market, the Thames Path, and cultural landmarks such as Southwark Cathedral and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

The tower maintains a slender profile to complement The Shard and steps back in plan to preserve key views, making it a transparent gateway to Southwark. It is elevated 16 metres above the ground concourse and 9 metres above the station concourse, providing a striking presence in the London skyline.

Inside, Shard Place offers 176 rental apartments, with a mix of 20 apartment layouts, including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes. Each apartment features triple-glazed windows, floor-to-ceiling openable windows, an MVHR system, and automated leak detection, ensuring a comfortable and energy-efficient living space.

Interiors have been designed by State of Craft and are offered in four palettes - Bermondsey Light, Bermondsey Dark, Borough Light, and Borough Dark. Each apartment in Shard Place features a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, with two design collections, Bermondsey and Borough, offering varied tone options. Furnishings are bespoke and curated from high-end brands.

Key amenities include London's highest rooftop heated swimming pool and sun deck, a wellness suite with gym, sauna, and steam room, a residents' lounge and dining room, a private cinema room, an Orangery and terrace on the 16th floor, 24/7 dedicated on-site security and concierge, security monitoring and fob access to all amenities, WiFi throughout the building (with additional cost for apartment WiFi), secure bicycle storage, and Level 4 Code for Sustainable Homes compliance.

At the top of Shard Place, an 18-metre heated outdoor pool and sun deck are located, offering residents a unique and luxurious experience. Level 16 contains an Orangery, library, and a terrace with views towards St Paul's Cathedral. Shared facilities in Shard Place span across three levels. Level 4 offers a cinema, wellness suite and gym, a private dining room, and a lounge.

A wide, sculptural stair connects the upper and lower levels of Shard Place, serving as a threshold to Guy's Quad, which will soon house the Science Gallery Museum. Shard Place also provides shared facilities such as a 24-hour concierge service, with optional housekeeping, laundry, and bicycle repair services.

Fielden St Thomas, as Shard Place is known, adds meaningful spaces for gathering, resting, and enjoying, transforming transit space into a destination. With its stylish apartments, luxurious amenities, and prime location, Shard Place is set to become a desirable address in London.
