Free Autumn Workshops for Kids in Detmold: Dance, Art, and More
Free creative workshops are on offer for 10- to 14-year-olds during the autumn holidays in Detmold. The project, funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science and the Ministry of Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees and Integration of North Rhine-Westphalia, provides a practical, up-close cultural experience. Most registrations are online via pretix.eu/stadtdetmold/kulturrucksack, with 'I Want to Dance!' requiring direct registration at the Domizil.
Each workshop is led by an artist, designer, or instructor, resulting in unique creations or performances. Children can explore comic creation, goldsmithing, sewing, and dance choreography. The 'From Stick Figure to AI Artwork' workshop, a cooperation between the Volkshochschule Detmold-Lemgo and the Weserrenaissance-Museum Schloss Brake, takes place on 14 and 21 October from 3:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the museum for children aged 9–13.
The free workshops offer a chance for youngsters to learn new skills, express their creativity, and engage with local artists and cultural institutions. With a variety of disciplines covered, there's something to suit every interest.
