St. Petersburg, Russia - Tour operator Biblio-Globus has announced the launch of direct flights from St. Petersburg to Sukhumi, Abkhazia, starting on August 1. The flights will be operated by iFly airline on wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft.
The first flight from Sukhumi to St. Petersburg will depart at 9:15 and arrive at 13:30, while the return flight will depart St. Petersburg at 11:15 and arrive in Sukhumi at 15:30. The ticket price for the inaugural flight from Sukhumi to St. Petersburg starts at 19,288 rubles.
As of now, ticket prices for flights from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Khanty-Mansiysk, or the electric trains from Imeretinsky Resort to Sukhumi are not available. Similarly, specific departure and arrival times for these routes have not been disclosed.
Sukhumi Airport, the only international airport in Abkhazia, was reconstructed between 2021 and 2024 and opened in May 2025. Electric trains from Imeretinsky Resort to Sukhumi began operating on May 1.
