Arrow Global, a leading investment firm, is shifting its hospitality focus from short-term holiday destinations to year-round living spaces. John Calvao, Partner and Fund Principal at Arrow, sees this as a resilient and diversified opportunity for investors.

Arrow's hospitality business is primarily based in Portugal, with expansions into Spain and Italy. The firm manages 23 hotels, over 2,700 rooms, 12 golf courses, and employs more than 1,500 staff. Notable projects include Vilamoura Marina and Palmares Ocean Living & Golf in Portugal's Algarve region. Arrow sets itself apart by investing in the 'entire ecosystem concept'.

Recently, The Els Club, owned by Arrow, secured an agreement with the PGA to host the Portugal Invitational in 2026. This demonstrates Arrow's long-term approach to developing and improving its resorts. John Calvao is also exploring senior living developments as a potential area for expansion.
