Alternatively, Virgin Atlantic offers the same business-class seats for fewer miles and at a cheaper cost per mile. One-way redemptions start at 48,500 Virgin Points plus taxes and fees.
Both airlines offer generous bonuses when buying miles or points. Flying Blue has an 80% bonus, while Virgin Atlantic offers a 40% bonus, reducing the cost to $897 for a one-way redemption.
