A Belarusian individual was barred from boarding a flight bound for Egypt; the underlying cause remains undisclosed.

A resident of Kalinkovichi, Belarus, encountered an unexpected hurdle while attempting to fly to Egypt for work on July 30, 2025. The individual was denied boarding at Barcelona El Prat Airport due to outstanding debts exceeding Br5,000 on their home turf.

According to reports from the Main Department of Justice of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, the resident had been evading the execution of a court decision by hiding in Russia and avoiding contact with enforcement officers for an unspecified period. However, upon returning to their hometown, the resident resolved the issue by fully paying off their debt.

Meanwhile, a family who traveled with their two children (aged 10 and 3) at the same airport on the same day found themselves in a different kind of predicament. The parents, who are now under investigation by Spanish authorities, left their 10-year-old child at the airport while they went on vacation.

Airport staff noticed the lone child and alerted the police. The child's passport had expired during check-in, and despite this, the parents proceeded to board the plane without their son. The boy was instructed to wait for familiar faces to pick him up.

Spanish authorities are now investigating the parents' ability to provide proper care for their children. The incident has raised concerns about the welfare of the children and the parents' decision-making capabilities.

In a separate incident, the border service also blocked the resident's departure to Egypt. The details of this case are still under investigation, but it serves as a reminder of the importance of resolving outstanding legal issues before traveling abroad.

As the investigation into the parents' actions continues, it is crucial to emphasise the importance of responsible parenting and the consequences that can arise from neglecting one's duties as a parent. Similarly, individuals with outstanding debts or legal issues should address them promptly to avoid potential complications while traveling.
